Bringing more Art to STEM in Maryland
We are excited to support Maryland STEM Festival with their annual STEM Fest Art Competition Kick-Off Event!

Student sketch for 3-d immersive experience
“To develop a complete mind: Study the science of art; Study the art of science.Learn how to see.Realize that everything connects to everything else.” - Leonardo Da Vinci
This year, there will be working STEM art professionals from Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and other local STEM institutions. As a prize, the winner of the competition will be able to meet a working STEM professional from NASA.
Artists of all kinds will be challenged to create art based on this year's 2022 theme: Cyber Security.
Personally, I love the metaphor of unlocking a very personal secret and/or keeping it in the safest lockbox possible. That can lead to many very cool images or sensory experiences.
I hope young artists from all over Maryland are inspired to contribute their artistic creations. Let there be dances, music scores, beats, poems, immersive experiences, videos, graphics, paintings, murals, etc.!
Please attend if you are located in the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland area. Families, bring children of all ages to be inspired and to participate in the many activities that day, including a STEAM Panel Discussion and large mural drawing.
